Four men arrested on gang affiliation charges

BBN Staff: The Belize Police Department continues to crackdown on gang activity with four new gang affiliation arrests.

Police say that Michael Lionel Francis was charged today for the crime of “Being the Member of a Gang,” namely the Majestic Alley Crips (MAC).

Also arrested today was Reese Anthony Fitzgibbon also known as “Strike Force”; Jason Horace Anderson” also known as “LEE SOUP” or “Jason Williams Jr”; and Adrian Andrews Welch all charged with being members of the Supal Street Bloods/4th Genna Gang.

Their arrest follows that of Stann Creek resident, 26-year-old Cleon Smith Jr, who was charged with gang affiliation yesterday.

Police began taking an aggressive focus on gang activity around February after a spike in violent crime in Belize City led to the deaths of several people and even more shooting incidents.
