Teacher’s sudden death in Santa Familia being investigated

By Aaron Humes: Police are awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination to confirm the cause of the sudden death of a teacher from Santa Familia, Cayo District.

Nassly Calix, 33, was at home taking a bath on Wednesday night but was found motionless in the shower by her husband, thirty-nine-year-old Walter Calix. She was pronounced dead at the San Ignacio Community Hospital.

Walter Calix claims his wife has no medical history; however, investigators observed swelling on the left side of her neck.

Police investigations continue.
