Belize Weather: Mix of sunshine and showers entering weekend

The National Meteorological Service projects sunny skies today with cloudy intervals. Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy. A few morning showers and isolated thunderstorms will develop mostly along central and southern coastal areas, then over most areas by afternoon, then mainly south tonight.

High temperatures are 85 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 90 degrees over inland areas and 80 degrees in the hills. Tonight, low temperatures are 78 degrees along the coast; 68 degrees inland and 63 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly to northeasterly at five to 15 knots; sea state is choppy with waves of three to five feet.

Tides are low at 7:33 this morning and 10:01 this evening and high at 1:52 this afternoon. The sun sets at 6:10 this evening and rises at 5:31 Saturday morning.

Saturday’s outlook is for partly cloudy skies with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms developing mainly along coastal areas, then decreasing and becoming isolated by Saturday night.
