COVID report: Active cases tick up again entering weekend

By Aaron Humes: The Ministry of Health and Wellness reports that 13 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the last 24 hours against six new recoveries.

Therefore the number of active cases has risen again to 128 with almost as many (127) samples under investigation.

Five persons remain hospitalized with the virus – one partially vaccinated and four fully vaccinated – while one person is in intensive care. No new deaths have been reported.

The new cases were reported in Belize City (seven), Santa Clara, Corozal District; Orange Walk Town; Caye Caulker and Ladyville, Belize District; San Pedro Town, and Dangriga Town.
