Posted: Saturday, April 23, 2022. 9:31 am CST.

By Aaron Humes: Belmopan Police have arrested and charged Sherman Dean Jones Jr, 18; Kenton Kendrick Augustine, 19; Joseph Henry Gonzalez, 23; and Claribel Elizabeth Gonzalez, 43, all of Cotton Tree Village, Cayo District, for the offence of “Kept Ammunition without a Gun License”.

On Friday afternoon police visited an area within Cotton Tree Village and searched an unpainted bungalow house for illegal firearms and ammunition in the presence of the accused.

During the search police discovered a black magazine on the floor of the ceiling inside the attic. It contained one live 9-millimetre round inside the magazine.

When asked, the four accused admitted none of them was a holder of a valid gun license. All four were therefore detained and later charged.
