Motorcylcist injured in traffic accident near San Ignacio on the George Price Highway

By BBN Staff: A motorcyclist was seriously injured on Saturday night after he was involved in a traffic accident.

The incident occurred in Red Creek near San Ignacio on the George Price Highway.

A tow truck was pulling a bus using a long chain and was curving off the highway into a yard in Red Creek when the accident occurred. The man who was riding his motorcycle in the opposite direction, did not notice the tow chain and as a result hit the chain causing him to be flung from the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist received head and body injuries and was taken to the San Ignacio hospital for treatment.
