Toledo man accused of chopping his own father

By Aaron Humes: A relative has been detained in connection with the chopping of Maximiliano Cal, a farmer of Pueblo Viejo, Toledo District on Friday afternoon.

Police reports say Cal was at home sleeping when the accused came home and suddenly attacked him, chopping him in the head and then escaping.

The attacker, who happens to be the Maximiliano’s son, was subsequently captured and detained while Maximiliano Cal was treated at the Polyclinic in San Antonio. Police investigations continue.
