By Benjamin Flowers: Roaring Creek resident, 58-year-old Michael Clarke was murdered in front of his family on the night of April 20, and police say they have an idea of who might be responsible.
Today, Commissioner of Police Chester Williams said that the investigation into the matter is ongoing and that efforts are being made to secure the prime suspect.
“We have a suspect we believe is responsible, but investigators are still trying to tie the pieces together to gather the evidence needed to be able to close in on that individual and perhaps arrest and charge,” Williams said.
Clarke had just arrived home, with his wife opening their sliding gate and his three sons in the back seat of his SUV when a man in dark clothes wearing a fisherman’s cap, came and opened fire on him.
He was shot three times and died at the scene.
