Wagiya SC United, Bay City FC wipe out their opponents in National Amateur Women’s League B

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: After a three-week break, Wagiya SC United and Bay City FC wiped out their opponents in National Amateur Women’s League B.

Wagiya SC United pounded the Santa Elena Strikers 9-0 at the Carl Ramos Stadium in Dangriga. The first half was very even with Shadette Lino scoring the only goal in the 34th minute but Wagiya blew out the Strikers in the second half when Lino hit her brace in the 80th minute. Before and after Lino’s second goal, goals rained on the Santa Elena side from Jaelin Cacho (49), Maria Ical (60), Erin Elijio (61), Jessie McLaughlin (69), Chelsia Velasquez (79), and Rainelle Moss (82).

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Corozal’s Bay City FC thumped the Cayo Dreamers 5-0 at the Norman Broaster Stadium in San Ignacio.

Anahie Blanco hit a brace in the 30th and 72nd minutes. The other goals were scored by Darina Tzul in the 27th, Alisha Terry in the 66th, and Shante Chacon in the 88th.
