Police find over 14 pounds of marijuana at Placencia airstrip

By Benjamin Flowers: This week, the Belize Police Department intercepted over 14 pounds of marijuana being transported through the Placencia airstrip.

Police say that on Wednesday, around 3:20 p.m. they conducted a search at the Tropic Air cargo section and found a box containing three plastic bags with marijuana, and a second box containing three parcels of marijuana.

The combined weight of the marijuana was 14.28 pounds (6.47 kilos).

The marijuana was sealed, labelled and deposited as found property.
