Guatemala and Panama are playing for Group B’s top spot in their final match in the U19 Central American Championship on Thursday night at 7:00 at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Belmopan.

In this group, Guatemala, who leads with four points, has the upper hand in tonight’s game. Costa Rica and Panama have two points each and Puerto Rico have one point.

Guatemala will secure the group’s top spot with a win over Panama, but a draw could complicate things for them and a loss would put them out. Costa Rica and Panama can top the group should the numbers turn out in their favor as well.

By the time they play tonight, both Guatemala and Panama will know the result of the Costa Rica-Puerto Rico game and both will know where they stand and know what they have to do.

There are no semifinals in this competition, so all teams are aiming to win the group to play for the championship. However, it is a ranking tournament, so all teams play their final games on Saturday: 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2, 3vs 3, and 4 vs 4.
