Overnight shooting leaves two injured

By Aaron Humes: Two Belize City residents are in the hospital, one in critical condition, after a shooting incident on Wednesday night.

45-year-old Kenneth Barrow and 50-year-old Elvis Bevans, a barber of the corner of Haynes Street and Neal Pen Road, also known as “Hooligan,” were in Bevans’ yard along with others when an armed, masked gunman arrived and shot at them through the fence.

Barrow sustained gunshot injuries to the body and is listed in critical condition, while Bevans is stable with an injury to his right hand.

Police are investigating.
