By Benjamin Flowers: The Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing (MIDH) is in the Belize River Valley this week, conducting repairs on roads that will benefit villagers in Lemonal.
The teams and heavy equipment are out in the village improving the quality of the drive in the area by addressing major potholes along the roads.
“We’re making the streets better for residents by putting quality hard core material in the worst potholes and also getting in some grading. A temporary fix, we know, but plans are in the making for a permanent solution,” the MIDH said.
The ministry recently conducted road works in northern and southern Belize, while assisting municipalities like the Belize City Council, with street repairs.
Road works are also being done in the Cayes as the MIDH continues its push to have quality roads countrywide.
