El Salvador, Costa Rica to play Final of U19 FIFA FORWARD Central American Championship on Saturday

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: El Salvador and Costa Rica will clash in the Final of U19 FIFA FORWARD Central American Championship on Saturday at the FFB Stadium.

Both topped their groups on Thursday. El Salvador beat Nicaragua 1-0 and totalled nine points ahead of Nicaragua to gain first place in Group A ahead of Nicaragua, Honduras, and Belize, in that order.

Costa Rica bombed Puerto Rico, totalled five points like Panama but finished tops on goal differential. Guatemala dropped to third place and Puerto Rico placed fourth.

The Championship match kicks off at 7:00 pm at the FFB Stadium on Saturday.

Panama will face Nicaragua for third place at 4:15 pm at the same venue.

Over at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium on Saturday as well, Belize will match up against Puerto Rico for 7th place at 4:15 pm and Guatemala will close at 7:00 pm against Honduras for fifth place.
