By BBN Staff: The Belize Police Department is looking for a Belize City man as operations to address gang activity in the city continue.
Today, police issued an official notice that 28-year-old Steve Martin Moss, a resident of Queen Charlotte Street, is wanted for the crime of “being a member of a gang.”
Anyone with information on Moss’s whereabouts is asked to report it by calling 911, 922, or the nearest police station.
Police have been aggressively pursuing gang members since February in enhanced anti-gang operations that were launched in response to escalating violence in Belize City.
There were five arrests for gang affiliation last week, and one as recently as yesterday.
In a recent interview, Head of Communications for the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Assistant Superintendent Fitzroy Yearwood, reminded members of the public that concealing, or otherwise aiding someone wanted by police is an offense.
