U19 FIFA FORWARD Central American Championship closes on Saturday in Belmopan

The U19 FIFA FORWARD Central American Championship comes to an end on Saturday in Belmopan.

The Central American football championship started last Sunday and by Thursday the first phase round-robin was completed.

The final four games that will determine the champions and the finals ranking will be played today Saturday.

El Salvador topped Group A ahead of Nicaragua (4), Honduras (3), and Belize (1), in that order.

Though both Costa Rica and Panama totaled five points each in Group B, Costa Rica earned first honors on goal differential. Guatemala (4) finished in third place and Puerto Rico (1) placed fourth.

El Salvador and Costa Rica play the Final at 7:00 pm at the FFB Stadium.

Panama will battle Nicaragua for third place at 4:15 pm at the same venue.

Over at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium, Belize will play the first game against Puerto Rico for seventh place at 4:15 pm and Guatemala will close at 7:00 pm against Honduras for fifth place.
