Belize Weather: A fine Labour Day Sunday

According to the National Meteorological Service, a moderate easterly airflow supports sunny skies with a few cloudy spells today. Skies tonight will be partly cloudy. Showers will be isolated except for a chance of a few over northern areas and an isolated thunderstorm over the mountains this afternoon.

High temperatures will peak at 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 94 degrees in inland areas and 78 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 73 degrees over the interior and 66 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly at five to 15 knots. The sea will be light chop to choppy with waves of two to five feet.

Tides will be high at 9:50 this morning and 11:11 this evening and low at 5:06 this evening. Sunset this evening is at 6:13 and sunrise on Monday morning is at 5:26.

Monday will see a few showers develop over the country during the day, decreasing to isolated showers in the night.
