Posted: Sunday, May 1, 2022. 4:48 pm CST.

By Benjamin Flowers: On the occasion of Labour Day 2022, Minister of Health and Wellness, Kevin Bernard has issued a statement, honoring Belize’s workers with particular emphasis on public servants.

Bernards took to his official Facebook page to acknowledge the efforts of workers countrywide, noting that The Father of the Nation Rt. Hon. George Cadle Price is famous for saying “Wake up and work,” and that many Belizeans have answered that call.

“I must, on this occasion, give thanks to the workers of the Ministry of Health & Wellness and to all Public Servants and. Workers across the spectrum. From our housewives, domestic employees, Sanitation workers, and all the way to the very top; It is you who have made our vision a reality, you who work every single day to keep our promise of service to our people. Without you we are nothing,” Bernard said.

Bernard is one of several government officials that have wished a Happy Labour Day to Belizeans. Among the list is Prime Minister John Briceno, who took to his official Twitter page to say “Today, we reflect on service to nation and all that truly means – people first and at the center… service to people, for the good of people and nation.
