Prime Minister links nationalist movement to labour issues on Labour Day

By Aaron Humes: In wishing all Belizeans a happy Labour Day this Sunday, Prime Minister John Briceño has said the day is a time for reflection on what “service to nation” means.

On his Facebook page, he wrote, “Belize’s nationalist movement had as part of its foundation labour issues and action. Today, we reflect on service to nation and all that truly means – people first and at the center… service to people, for the good of people and nation.”

And so, while today and Monday are a day off for most (holidays are not usually observed on Sundays), the Prime Minister concluded, “Let’s be sure to get some relaxation but resolve to the true meaning of service. #laborday #workersday #service #labourday2022.”
