23-year-old murdered in early morning shooting at MCC Grounds parking lot

By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating an apparent murder of a Belize City man earlier this morning, Monday.

According to police, 23-year-old Tariq Ciego was walking to his vehicle, parked inside the MCC Grounds/Princess Hotel and Casino parking lot on Newtown Barracks at a quarter to three when he was shot by an unknown assailant. His body was found with multiple gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.

Police continue their investigations as they look for the apparent shooter.
