Wagiya SC United Cayo Dreamers trounced the Corozal United Warriors 4-0 in 33 minutes in the National Amateur Women’s League B at the Santiago Ricalde Stadium in Corozal Town on Sunday.
The Corozal-side only fielded seven players and had to forfeit the match after three players reportedly fainted during the game. A team cannot play an official game with less than seven players.
Technia Zuniga scored a brace in the 2’ and 21’. The other two goals were scored by Jaelin Cacho in the 8’ and Celeni Portillo in the 14’.
The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) posted the official results on its FFB National Female Football-BELIZE page but haven’t yet said if the Corozal United Warriors will be sanctioned.
Wagiya are currently in second position with six points edging the Cayo dreamers, who also have six points, on goal differential.
The Corozal United Warriors don’t have any points and are in the fourth position ahead of the Santa Elena Strikers on goal differential.
