Belize Weather: Odd shower or two breaks up mostly sunny day

The National Meteorological Service says skies today will be sunny with cloudy spells and partly cloudy tonight. A few showers or thunderstorms will affect mainly the coast this morning, becoming isolated later tonight.

High temperatures are 87 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 93 degrees inland and 80 in the hills. Tonight, it will be 80 degrees along the coast, 72 inland and 66 in the hills.

Winds will be easterly at 10 to 20 knots and the sea state will be choppy, with waves of three to five feet.

High tide will come in at 11:24 a.m. and low tide will be at 7:09 p.m.

Sunset is at 6:13 this evening and sunrise on Thursday at 5:24 a.m.

The extended forecast for Thursday is for skies to be partly cloudy with isolated showers except in the south.
