Cycling Federation of Belize names seven for upcoming Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England, in July-August

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Cycling Federation of BELIZE (CFB) has selected seven cyclists as the National Team that will represent Belize at the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England, from July 28 to August 8, 2022.

The CFB named G-Flow’s Giovanni Lovell, Westrac Alliance’s Byron Pope, 501 Valvoline Cycling Team’s Oscar Quiroz, and L39ION of Los Angeles’ brothers Cory and Justin Williams to the Belize Men’s National Team.

The CFB also selected LA Sweat’s Kaya Cattouse and Belize Bank Swoosh’s Alicia Thompson to the Belize Women’s National Team.

The CFB has also named a list of 13 alternate riders (12 men and 1 woman) who will substitute any of the seven selected riders if one or more of them travel to the Commonwealth Games.

The alternate list comprises:

CHAVARRIA Patricia – Chavarria’s Cycling Team

AZUETA Carroll Devin – M&M Engineering

BRADLEY Ernesto – FAL Cycling Team

CHAPLIN Tevin – G-Flow Cycling Team

CHAVARRIA Derrick – 501 Valvoline Cycling Team

CHAVARRIA Joslyn – 501 Valvoline Cycling Team

CODD Shawn – G-Flow Cycling Team

FULLER Joshua – 501 Valvoline Cycling Team

GABOUREL Kent – C-Town Racing Team

GENTLE Kevin – C-Town Racing Team

GONZALEZ Jyven – G-Flow Cycling Team

ROCA Sherwin – FAL Cycling Team

STEWART Robert Liam – Unattached
