Seventeen new cases of COVID-19 reported

By Benjamin Flowers: The latest national COVID-19 update issued by the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) shows 17 newly confirmed cases.

The new cases were discovered among a batch of 810 tests. They were split between 7 females and 10 males.

The Belize District reported 10 of the 17 new cases, with 6 cases coming from Belize City alone.

The ministry also reported 10 new recoveries from the virus, which were split between 6 females and 4 males.

There are only two patients hospitalized due to COVID-19 and neither of them are receiving critical care in the Intensive Care Unit.

Meanwhile, the MOHW still has 134 suspected cases under investigation.

There were no new deaths associated with COVID-19.
