Alleged member of Supal Street Bloods remanded to prison

By BBN Staff: Today, Kevin Jordan Alvarez, a 28-year-old Belize Ciy resident charged with gang affiliation, was remanded to the Belize Central Prison.

Alvarez, who was arrested on Thursday for the crime of “being a member of a gang” was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court today.

He is accused of being a member of the Supal Street Bloods/4th Genna Gang, to which he pleaded not guilty.

Under the Crime Control and Criminal Justice Act, he was unable to receive bail at the Magistrate level and was remanded until August 8.

He does have the option to apply for bail through the Supreme Court, with the assistance of an attorney as early as May 13.
