Bay City rolling over the competition in National Amateur Women’s League B

Bay City FC are having a whale of a time in Belize’s second women’s football league, the National Amateur Women’s League B.

After four weekends of action in which all teams have played three matches, except for the Corozal United Warriors who have played only two times, Copper Bank’s Bay City FC are rolling over the competition with three consecutive victories and having scored an amazing 22 goals without conceding any.

Dangriga’s Wagiya SC United and the Cayo Dreamers have six points from two wins and a loss each, but Wagiya are in second position due to a better goal differential. Wagiya have a +9 having scored 13 and conceded only four. The Cayo Dreamers hold the third position having converted 11 times and having allowed five goals for a differential of +6.

The Corozal United Warriors and the Santa Elena Strikers don’t have any points yet. However, the Corozal team have only played two games to Santa Elena’s three, so the Corozal side are fourth and the Cayo side are in fifth place.

Last Sunday the Warriors forfeited a game. They abandoned the match against Wagiya in the 33rd minute after three of their players reportedly fainted. Having started the game with only seven players, they couldn’t continue. The FFB has not yet said if the Corozal United Warriors will be sanctioned.
