Seasonably hot and dry weather prevails according to the National Meteorological Service.
In the 24-hour forecast, skies will be sunny today with a few cloudy spells. Tonight, the skies will be partly cloudy. Little to no rainfall is expected, except for the chance of inland afternoon or evening thunderstorms developing over the Maya Mountains.
High temperatures today peak at 92 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 100 degrees Fahrenheit over inland areas and 90 degrees in the hills. Tonight, temperatures fall to 82 degrees along the coast; 74 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.
A heat advisory is in effect. Residents, especially those living in inland areas, are advised to stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activities as much as possible.
Winds are from the east to southeast at five to 15 knots. The sea will be choppy with waves of three to five feet.
Tides will be low at 8:36 this morning and 10:58 this evening and high at 2:49 this afternoon. Sunset occurs at a quarter past six this evening and the sun rises on Monday at 5:22.
Continued hot and mostly dry weather conditions are expected for Monday.
