Bay City FC cement lead in National Amateur Women’s League B

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Their 16-0 trouncing of the Corozal United Warriors cemented Bay City FC in the top spot of the National Amateur Women’s League B

Bay City now has a perfect record of 12 points from four games. And what’s more, they have now scored an amazing 38 goals in four matches for an average of 9.5 goals per game. What’s more amazing is that they have not yet allowed any goals.

Bay City’s Anahie Blanco is the leading NAWL B scorer with twelve conversions. Alisha Terry and Kaite Jones have five each while Darina Tzul and Shante Chacon have found the target four times each.

The Cayo Dreamers are in the second position with nine points from three wins and a loss. The Dreamers have scored 13 goals and permitted six. The Dreamers Jehniah Arnold is the team’s lead scorer with five goals. Daysi Paiz has netted three.

Wagiya SC United is in third place with six points from two wins and two losses. They have scored 14 times and been scored upon on six occasions.

The Corozal United Warriors are fourth and the Santa Elena Strikers are fifth. Neither have a point from four games but the Strikers have a greater goal differential. Neither has converted though the Warriors have only allowed 23 goals while the Strikers have bagged 30 goals. However, two weekends ago the Warriors abandoned their game against Wagiya in the 33rd minute. They were down 4-0. The question that will never be answered is how much would they have lost had the match not been abandoned because they ended with less than seven players.
