Belize Weather: Seasonal conditions continue into weekend

Seasonally warm and dry weather continues according to the National Meteorological Service.

Skies today are mostly sunny with only isolated showers and clear to partly cloudy tonight with little or no rain. However, there is a chance for isolated thunderstorms developing inland and over mountainous areas this afternoon.

High temperatures today reach 87 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 96 degrees in inland areas and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 78 degrees along the coast; 68 degrees inland and 63 degrees in the hills.

Winds are east to northeast at five to 15 knots; the sea state is slight with waves of one to three feet.

Tides will be high at 7:38 this morning and 8:37 this evening and low at 2:27 this afternoon. Sunset occurs at 6:16 this evening and sunrise on Saturday morning is at 5:20 a.m.

Continued mainly fair and warm weather is forecast for Saturday.
