Missing Corozal teenager found in Mexico along with suspected kidnapper; both now in Belizean custody

By Benjamin Flowers: Elvira Rivas, the 13-year-old Corozal resident reported missing on May 8, was found in Mexico, along with Roque Gonzalez, the man wanted for her kidnapping.

Police confirmed this morning that Rivas and Gonzalez were picked up by Mexican authorities in San Francisco Botes, Quintana Roo, yesterday.

Quintana Roo Police then handed them over to Corozal police early this morning. Police say that Rivas is safe and that there will be follow-up investigations into the incident.
