The weather continues to be warm and dry per the National Meteorological Service.
Skies today are forecast to be mostly sunny and tonight partly cloudy. Little or no rain is expected save for a chance of an isolated thunderstorm developing over the southwest near the border this afternoon.
High temperatures are 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 97 degrees over inland areas and 84 degrees in the hills. Tonight, temperatures fall to 80 degrees along the coast, 70 degrees inland and 65 degrees in the hills.
Winds are easterly to southeasterly at five to 15 knots. The sea will be slight with waves of one to three feet. A heat alert is in effect. Residents, especially those living inland, are advised to stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activities during the daytime as much as possible.
Tides will be low at 3:14 this afternoon and high at 9:30 this evening. The sun sets at 6:16 this evening and rises at 5:20 Sunday morning.
Similar weather conditions are forecast in the outlook for Sunday and Sunday night.
