Warm and dry conditions dominate according to the National Meteorological Service.
Skies today will be mostly sunny and tonight clear to partly cloudy. Little or no rainfall is expected aside from isolated showers or isolated thunderstorms developing inland and over the mountains this afternoon or evening.
High temperatures are 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 98 degrees in the interior and 86 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 78 degrees along the coast; 70 degrees inland and 65 degrees in the hills. A heat alert is in effect: residents, particularly those inland, are advised to keep hydrated and avoid outdoor activities as much as possible in the daytime.
Winds are easterly at five to ten knots. The sea will be slight with waves of one to three feet.
Tides will be high at 9:23 this morning and 11:13 this evening and low at 4:51 this afternoon. The sun sets at 6:17 this evening and rises at 5:19 Tuesday morning.
Similar weather conditions can be expected to prevail on Tuesday and Tuesday night.
