By BBN Staff: A Belize City woman is out on bail after wounding a female police officer she claimed to be her lover.
Evelyn White, 37, was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Monday in the presence of her attorney Norman Rodriguez, where she was read a single charge of wounding.
The incident reportedly happened on Friday, May 13.
In court, the prosecution did not object to bail and it was granted in the sum of $1,200 plus one surety of the same.
As a condition of her bail, White needs to refrain from any acts that amount to abuse, whether verbal or physical, and should not be arrested for any other offence.
She is due back in court on July 19.
