By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The National Agriculture and Trade Show (NATS) starts Friday, May 27 until Sunday, May 29, in Belmopan.
The Opening Ceremony will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday and officially starts at 4:15 pm, said the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise (MAFSE).
Gates open at 5:30 am on the three days.
“There’s no charging on Friday, access is open,” said NATS Committee Chairman Gary Ramirez.
“On Saturday and Sunday, our gates open at 5:30 am for booth vendors and the general public. This is because the electronic companies who would be already set up from Friday offer early deals.”
The entrance fee on Saturday and Sunday is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. Parking costs $8.00.
The Livestock Show starts at 8:30 am. Next the Canoe Race ends at the NATS grounds at 10:30 am.
The NATS 2022 Award Ceremony follows at 11:00 am. The ceremony includes the recognition of the Farmers of the Year.
There’s entertainment on Main Stage and the Creekside Stage at midday.
The Youth Rodeo Championship starts at 1:30 pm and the ASR/ BSI Strong Man Competition gets on at 2:00 pm.
Then on Sunday, entertainment on both stages kicks off at noon. That’s followed by the Horse and Cowboy Parade at 12:30 pm and the Senior Rodeo Competition at 1:00 pm.
