Belize Electricity Limited says unplanned outage has been addressed

By Benjamin Flowers: Belize Electricity Limited (BEL) says that it has addressed the unplanned power outage that affected parts of the country this morning.

The outage began at 7:39 this morning, and BEL dispatched crews to investigate.

Power to Belize City and portions of the Cayo district was restored shortly thereafter.

BEL said that by 8:09 a.m. power had been restored to all areas that had been affected.

The company also thanked its customers for their patience as the issue was being addressed.
