By BBN Staff: Belize City resident 38-year-old Lorely Theresita Miranda is out on bail after being charged with damage to property and threatening words against her neighbor Alvarez.

Alvarez reported to police that on May 15, around 10:00 p.m., Miranda approached him threatening to kill him. Alvarez said he took out his phone and began to record her behavior and that’s when she slapped it out of his hand causing it to fall to the ground and the screen ended up getting cracked as a result.

Miranda pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of $800 under the condition that she needs to refrain from interfering with Alvarez.

She is due back in court on July 17.
