Caribbean Development Bank’s Operations Officer visits projects in Belize

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Caribbean Development Bank’s Operations Officer Omar Bispat is on a working visit to Belize, said the Belize Social Investment Fund (SIF).

Bispat is expected to have several meetings with government officials and SIF’s directors and technical officers. He is also meeting with SIF’s Executive Director Carlos Tun.

Bispat is also visiting 19 project sites around the country where projects have either been recently completed or are being carried out. During these visits, Bispat will be meeting with the communities and stakeholders of the various projects.

“The CDB has been instrumental in funding many projects undertaken at SIF,” said SIF.

These projects include the Maria Crawford Health Centre in the Belize District, the Jalacte Water Supply, and the San Isidro Primary School in Toledo; the St Michael’s Primary School in Las Flores, Belmopan; and the Calcutta Primary School in Corozal.
