By Aaron Humes: Whether on their own or with the help of others, the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing is active on the ground, tending to long-neglected roads.
This week they were active in the villages of Burrell Boom and Lords’ Bank. In the former, they said they are “working along with private sector partners to upgrade roads and streets. The MIDH commitment is strong, and we’re getting it done.”
The Ministry adds, “When it comes to providing service, we’ll work with any and all partners to be sure the job is done right.
Meanwhile, in Lords’ Bank, the Ministry says it has had to “work hard to make sure streets and roads are in good shape for residents. Like so many other communities, there is the need for a permanent fix, and we can commit to getting that done as quickly as we can.”
The Ministry not only has responsibility for major roads and highways but for just about all the roads in the country not maintained by town and city councils.
