BREAKING: Woman injured and man critical as armed men shoot up house in Cayo

By BBN Staff: A woman and a man, both residents of Ontario Village, Cayo District, were injured as armed men took aim at their house early on Friday morning.

Police say that they visited the Western Regional Hospital in Belmopan on Friday morning and saw 21-year-old Juanita Teck and 35-year-old Douglas Paguada with gunshot injuries. Teck had a single gunshot injury to the upper right leg and is in a stable condition while Paguada had multiple gunshot injuries to his left arm, left knee, left hip and right leg, and is in a critical condition.

Initial investigations reveal that just around 3:00 in the wee hours of Friday morning, two (2) men went into the yard where Paguada and Teck resides and fired multiple shots into their house. The gunmen then fled the scene when they heard that a call to the police had been made.
