Cayo Dreamers pound Corozal United Warriors 8-0 in NAWL B

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Last week the Cayo Dreamers moved their home games from the Norman Broaster Stadium in San Ignacio to the FFB Stadium in Belmopan and this week they pounded the Corozal United Warriors 8-0 in NAWL B.

Maria Pineda struck the first goal in the 6’. Ilyn Cruz made it 2-0 in the 11’, and Daysi Paiz rammed in the third goal in the 24’.

And in the second half Sara Torres scored a hat trick and Jehniah Arnold secured a brace for the Cayo side. Torres scored in the 57’, 70’, and 76’. Arnold converted in the 80’ and 83’.

The victory cements the Cayo Dreamers in the second position now with 12 points from four wins and a loss.

The Corozal United Warriors are in last place without a point after five consecutive losses.
