Belize Weather: Rain dominates

By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service calls for mostly cloudy skies today and tonight.

There will be a few showers, periods of rain, and isolated thunderstorms, starting along the coast this morning, moving north and inland by afternoon, and developing along the southern coast tonight and tomorrow while isolated elsewhere.

High temperatures are 85 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 88 degrees in inland areas and 80 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 80 degrees along the coast; 74 degrees inland and 65 degrees in the hills.

Winds are from the east to southeast at 10 to 20 knots and the sea state is moderate with waves of four to six feet.

Tides will be high at 11:56 this morning and low at six p.m. this evening. The sun will set at 6:20 this evening and rise at 5:18 Wednesday morning.

Wednesday sees a mix of sunshine and showers, the latter mainly along the southern coast.
