Ladyville man charged with harming a woman granted bail

By BBN Staff: A Ladyville man is out on bail after being charged with harming a woman.

Gabriel Mai appeared unrepresented in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Monday where he was read a single charge of harm, to which he pleaded not guilty.

There was no objection to bail and it was granted to him in the sum of $1,000 plus one surety of the same, which he was able to meet.

The incident reportedly occurred on May 19.

Mai’s bail came with the condition that he is not to interact with the complainant or any of the prosecution’s witnesses.
