By BBN Staff: Armando Medina, charged with the 2019 theft of a truck belonging to businessman Yhony Rosado, appeared in Belize City Magistrate’s Court today for the start of trial in the matter.
Medina allegedly stole Rosado’s 2014 Isuzu D-Max pickup truck in December of 2019. Police used surveillance footage from Rosado’s house in their investigation and later recovered the truck along the John Smith Road.
Rosado took the stand on Tuesday to give his recollection of the incident. Medina’s attorney OJ Elrington had an objection to the tendering of the surveillance footage. Magistrate Tricia Pitts-Anderson will hear Elrington’s submission on that matter when trial continues next week.
