Vinicius Junior scored the only goal of the match in the 59th minute to give the Spanish side another European League trophy. Vinicius converted from close range off across from Federico Valverde.

Real Madrid defeated Liverpool 3-1 in 2018 to win their 13th title.

Real Madrid’s coach, Italian Carlo Ancelotti, has now won the European League title for the third time.
