U15 Belize National Girls Football Team plays friendly match against Amigas of Chetumal today

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Under 15 Belize National Girls Football Team (BGNT) plays a second game against Amigas of Chetumal today Saturday in Chetumal at La Charca field.

On Friday the U15 BGNT fell in the first friendly against Amigas.

The U15 BGNT is getting ready for the Central American Football Union (UNCAF) FIFA FORWARD U15 Girls Championship to be held in San Jose, Costa Rica, from June 5-11, 2022. The team will travel to Costa Rica late next week.

The U15 BGNT has been training at the Football Federation of Belize (FFB) headquarters on weekends since March.

The BGNT will face Guatemala, El Salvador, and invited guests, the Dominican Republic in Group B at the José Joaquín ‘Coyella’ Fonseca Stadium.

Group A made up of Costa Rica and Nicaragua, invited guests from Puerto Rico, and Honduras and will play at the Ernesto Rohrmoser Stadium.

The U15 BGNT will play their first game against Guatemala at 7:00 pm on Sunday, June 5.

The BGNT’s will take on El Salvador on Tuesday, June 7, at 4:00 pm. The third game will be against the Dominican Republic on Thursday, June 9, at 4:00 pm.

Like the U17 FIFA FORWARD UNCAF Boys Championship held here last month, all teams will play the fourth game on Saturday, June 11. The top teams in each group will play for the championship, the second-place teams for third place, the third-place teams for fifth place, and the fourth-place teams for seventh place.
