Belize’s Ambassador to Taiwan delivers commencement speech at National Chung Hsing University

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Saturday, May 28, Belize’s Ambassador to Taiwan, Candice Pitts delivered the commencement speech for the graduating class at the National Chung Hsing University in Taiwan.   

Ambassador Pitts told graduates that perseverance is the key to overcoming challenges and achieving their goals.   

“In the persistent rolling of that proverbial boulder, one builds discipline and character, and though one may be unable to understand at that time, moments invested with consistent efforts and diligence are moments that birth great and resilient people and memorable periods of history,” Ambassador Pitts said.  

The Ambassador encouraged students to use their education and skills to help make Taiwan and the world a better place.   

Ambassador Pitts congratulated all the graduates, and on behalf of Belize, she extended special recognition to Yuri Leonardo Tzul, the Belizean student who was graduating.  

Over 100 students graduated with Master’s and Doctorate degrees this year at the National Ching Hsing University in Taiwan.
