Belmopan man hospitalized following shooting from vehicle

By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating a shooting incident that took place around nine Saturday evening in the city of Belmopan.

19-year-old Henry Osorio and two other friends were in a green Nissan Altima on Hummingbird Highway, turning into Constitution Drive when approaching One Million Lounge they heard a loud bang.

Osorio, who was sitting in the back seat, felt pain in his body and realized he had been shot. He was taken to Western Regional Hospital, Belmopan, where he remains.

The pick-up from which the shot was fired drove off up the highway and disappeared without a trace.

Authorities are investigating.
