By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Approximately 27,000 people visited the National Agriculture and Trade Show (NATS) over the weekend.

The NATS Committee said that on Sunday, 15,782 persons paid to enter the biggest agricultural and trade show in the country which is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Adding the 10,971 persons that attended the Agric Show on Saturday, a total of 26,753 persons attended NATS 2022 which had been canceled the previous two years because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The total number does not include invited guests and people who received courtesy passes.

Despite the rainy weather, people from all districts made it to Belmopan to see what the country has to offer and to have a good time. The Agric and Trade Show features the best of Belize agricultural and trade products, livestock shows, rodeos, lots of food, and entertainment.

“Thanks to everyone for coming out to support this year’s Agric 2022. See you next year!” said the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise (MAFSE) on social media.

“To our sponsors’ thanks a million, as well as to all who made it to this year’s spectacular Agric 2022.”

The 2022 NATS Committee which organized the National Agriculture and Trade Show is led by Gary Ramirez, MAFSE’s Horticulture Unit Coordinator.
