COVID-19 vaccinations for 5-11 year-olds start on Tuesday in the Belize District

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Ministry of Health and Wellness’ Central Health Region starts its COVID-19 vaccinations for children ages 5 to 11 at schools throughout the district both on the mainland and cayes on Tuesday.

Vaccinations will start at 9:00 am and end by 3:00 pm.

On Tuesday, May 31, vaccinations will be held at St Joseph RC School, Hummingbird Elementary School, and Belize Elementary School in Belize City, and Holy Cross Anglican School at San Pedro, Ambergris Caye.

In Wednesday, June 1, vaccinations will be administered at St Joseph RC School, Buttonwood Bay Nazarene Primary School, and Central Christian School in Belize City. Vaccinations will also be done at Pancotto Primary in Sand Hill, Our Lady of Guadalupe RC School in Ladyville, and La Isla Bonita Elementary School in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye.

On Thursday, June 2, the Central Health Region will visit Grace Primary School, Unity Presbyterian School, and Ebenezer Methodist School in Belize City, plus New Horizon Seventh Day Adventist School in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye.

Then on Friday, June 3, COVID-19 vaccinating will be conducted at St John’s Anglican School in Belize City and The Island Academy at San Pedro, Ambergris Caye.
