By Aaron Humes: A Belize City woman is spending tonight in the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for treatment following a shooting incident.
According to police, 30-year-old Joana Parham was sitting on the street side at Curassow Street just after seven and one Anthony Parham was walking into the area from Racoon Street facing Cemetery Road.
When Anthony Parham reached the junction with Gibnut Street, shots were fired which injured Joana Parham to the right upper leg and right lower foot, while Anthony Parham apparently escaped unhurt, police say. There was also damage to two vehicles, a red Lincoln MKZ car and silver-colored Honda pick-up, both parked on Curassow Street facing Cemetery Road.
Police have identified one suspect and continue their investigations.
